No. Setting up a league on Fantastar is quick, easy and free.
How do I raise funds using Fantastar?
When you set up a league you specify how much you want to charge people to register a fantasy team in your league. When somebody joins your league they
pay the entry fee to Fantastar (via PayPal). Fantastar holds onto the funds and will transfer them to the league owner's account upon request.
What can I charge for people to enter my league?
In the UK you can charge between £5 and £25 per fantasy team.
In the US, Australia and New Zealand you can charge between $10 and $25 per fantasy team.
In the Eurozone you can charge between €5 and €25 per fantasy team.
What currencies do you support?
The currencies we currently support are:
Australian Dollar (AUD)
Canadian Dollar (CAD)
Euro (EUR)
New Zealand Dollar (NZD)

U.S. Dollar (USD)
How is the money collected?
The money is collected securely via PayPal. You can pay using a PayPal account, credit card, debit card or bank account.
How do I know how much funding my league has raised?
A summary of funds raised is shown on the league table page (login as a league administrator and click the 'Table' menu).
Is my money safe?
Yes, of course. Fantastar is owned and operated by BlueYellow Media Ltd. registered in England No. 6655284.
Your funds are kept in our PayPal account and are available for transfer to your account upon request.
How do I withdraw my funds?
The league owner must contact the Fantastar support team and a bank transfer or PayPal transfer (depending on currency) can be arranged.
Up to two withdrawals can be made per year. There is a £10 charge for additional withdrawals.
Do I have to pay a commission fee?
Yes. Fantastar charges a 20% commission (merchant fee) which is used to meet the website running costs (including PayPal fees) and investment in new features.
Can I offer prizes through Fantastar?
Not in the UK. Prizes cannot be offered through the Fantastar website if an entry fee is charged (according to UK law - The 2005 Gambling Act).
In most states in the US fantasy sports games are considered legal (due to a specific exemption in the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006)
so prizes may be offered and an entry fee charged. This information is provided for guidance and does not constitute professional legal advice.
